Monrovia – The Liberia National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is set to officially release the results of the 2026 National Examinations on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
The results will be announced during a press briefing organized by the WAEC Secretariat at the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism Press Hall in Monrovia.
According to a public notice issued by WAEC management, the briefing will provide an overview of candidates’ performance in this year’s examinations.
The announcement is expected to include the national pass rate, performance across individual subjects and the performance of schools and other institutions participating in the examinations.
Education stakeholders, government officials and members of the media are expected to attend the event, which will also provide an opportunity for WAEC to outline the overall outcome of the 2026 examinations.
Media institutions and journalists covering the announcement have been urged to arrive early, with organizers anticipating a large turnout at the venue.
The release of the results will bring an end to the period of waiting for thousands of students who sat the national examinations and their parents and guardians across the country.
Students and guardians have also been advised to pay attention to official announcements following the press briefing for information on how to access individual examination results through the online portal.
The results are expected to provide an important assessment of student performance and the state of learning outcomes across Liberia’s education system.
