Smashed Pride & credibility -Bothered CDC’s Increased Leadership Nightmare

Embattled failed National Elections Commission Chairman (NEC) Ndubusi Nwabudike’s quest to prove in the legal arena that he did not do anything wrong is troubling, as former presidential candidate for the Movement for One Liberia (MOL) MacDella Cooper wonders what spell he (Nwabudike) has on the government to still keep him afloat.

Madam Cooper noted that Nwabudike must stop and campaign no matter his closeness to the government.

At the same time, pundits who are following the unfortunate saga of Nwabudike  having disastrously failed in his political quest of being confirmed as NEC ‘s Chairman  described his determination to prove his rightness amidst several allegation, as being heartlessly deceptive and undisturbed about honor and disgrace.

The pundits informed the PARROT NEWS this week that while Nwabuduke blatantly lied under oath knowingly to capture NEC’s Chairmanship upon being nominated by President George M. Weah; his  preconceived knowledge of falsifying his so-called naturalization document reflective of sharp contrast to the Constitutional provision of age to obtain naturalization status in Liberia, which stipulates 21 years of age, as opposed to his fake and half-baked displayed naturalization document registered him as being naturalized at the age of 17 is a violation that the government should not condone.

The pundits in addition explained that the infamous penetration of Liberia’s renowned heritage like the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA), is not just alarming; it has glaringly smashed the pride and credibility of the ruling bothered Congress for Democratic Change’s (CDC’s) established increased leadership nightmare; with a blow dealt to the weakness and reckless links making the Mwabuduke’s appetite for power more critically disturbing.

It can be recalled that based on massively mounting pressure from the public before, and during his senate’s confirmation upon being nominated by President Weah to the position of Chairman of NEC; and barely the third day, the President caved in; succumbed to the cries of the people and withdrew his letter of appointment from the senate.

Some of these institutions he reportedly penetrated on one hand and to the other he lied under oath, are conducting vigorous investigations regarding how he (Nwabudike) got his membership. This matter has already landed at the Supreme Court while the people are angrily demanding his immediate removal from the Liberia Anti- Corruption Commission (LACC) where he is serving as Chairman.

for nailing and vehemently questioning his dubious acts meted out against the same country he has enjoyed profound Moreover, callers recently on some of the local radio stations in Monrovia also scolded the disappointedly embattled failed to-be NEC’s Chairman, that besides the huge embarrassment he has caused for the country he claims to cherish so much and the unwarranted quandary he has plunged it in.

According to the callers, it is saddened to note that without an ounce of remorse, this is now how Mwabudike has elected to reward the very country by taking it to task through the court, opportunities under the cover of alleged criminality.

In the same vein, Journalist John Kollie earlier on a local radio station called on President Weah to withdraw his nominee to quiet down the enormous dissatisfaction expressed regarding the controversial uneasiness in the city.

Meanwhile, viewing the perception harbored by a Liberian in the diaspora concerning the vested politically attached interest reportedly cherished as agenda by President Weah, Mr. Samuel P. Jackson cautions the Chief Executive that “you (Weah) try to manipulate or steal the elections; you will not stay one day more than you believe and I assure you that.”

Observers also believed that the nation is trekking the path that is worrisome, with the ruling establishment deadly seriously determined to win massively in the December 8, 2020 senatorial election with huge and vested interest on re- claiming Montserrado it referred to as stronghold, coupled with the unfortunate development in Grand Gedeh County involving opposition National Alternative Congress (ANC) featuring Rep. Yekeh Korlubah and some citizens while on a political tour, sends a mixed-signals of fear and panic for the months leading to the election and beyond.

They also argued that besides the Grand Gedeh’s Legislative Caucus that openly spoke against and distanced itself from such unconceivable act and called for an immediate investigation and bring the perpetrators to book; the total silence of the government on the issue including the story from the its (government’s) news agency (LINA) along with Deputy Information Minister for Public Affairs, is tantamount to deep concern about safety.

They noted that being cognizant that election is already a tension prone-situation worldwide; and despite the current crux of the Gedeh fracas, the leadership must not find itself telling the people to swim or sink on their own, adding, there are difficult months and days ahead of December 8, when the ruling power will and must be going all-out to prove its worth and establish its stamp on gigantic victory, while the opposition will  not take a Rip Van Winkle’s sleep rather be on similar ground swells enga+gement.
