Liberia national team captain Oscar Dorley is on the verge of completing a high-profile transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al Taawoun FC, in what could become one of the biggest moves of his club career.
The 28-year-old midfielder has reportedly arrived in Saudi Arabia accompanied by his agent as he prepares to finalize the remaining details of the proposed transfer.
Dorley’s move to Al Taawoun is expected to be officially confirmed soon, with the Saudi club poised to add the experienced Liberian international to its squad.
His departure would bring an end to a highly successful spell with Czech champions SK Slavia Prague, where he established himself as one of the club’s most reliable and versatile players.
Reports indicate that Slavia Prague are set to receive more than €2 million from the transfer, giving the Czech champions a significant financial return for a player whose contract was entering its final year.
Dorley joined Slavia Prague as a promising midfielder and gradually developed into a key figure in the team, featuring prominently in domestic competitions and European club football.
During his time in Prague, the Liberian helped the club secure multiple league titles while also gaining valuable experience against some of Europe’s top sides.
His versatility has been one of his biggest strengths.
