I firstly want to thank Mr. Mo Ali,Secretary General of the Unity Party for adequately addressing issues regarding the ADA project operated by Ambassador Wendell McIntosh.
First and foremost Spoon Panelists all agreed in ignorance that the project worth 40 million Dollars whereas the project was a 30 million Dollar venture.
SPOON TALK have chosen to malign the image of the Former Vice President in no Small measure by attaching him with a privately owned failed Agricultural establishment known as ADA, operated by Amb. Wendell McIntosh who signed an agreement with the Libyan Government to grow rice in Liberia on an industrial scale. Entered into an agreement with the Liberian Government for the purpose of land where the farms will be operated.
McIntosh chose Foya District and subsequently other areas were going to be leased in other counties for the project.
I am taking this time to educate our people who are listening or reading the misinformation coming out of SPOON TALK that JNB had a hand in the 30 million project.
The Government of Liberia approved the concession agreement and allowed McIntosh to operate based on his agreement with the libyans and not with any individual in Liberia.ADA is like Firestone, GVL, mittal Steel etc, these are concessions.
According to the documents the libyans were to make available 30 millions to McIntosh, whether they did or not in total is for McIntosh to answer.
Why are you bringing JNB in an issue he has no fish to fry.
You don’t think JNB would have been the happiest man to have seen that project succeed in his home District?
The project failed, so because he is a politician and vying for the presidency you choose to link him to a failed project.
You don’t link people to concessions they are corporate entities operating outside of government.
SPOON TALK, do you really have knowledge about how these things work?
The ADA failed because col.muammar Gadaffi was assassinated and his Government came to an end. Scores of libyan sponsored projects in Africa came to an end with the death of Gadaffi including hospital and power projects.
Firstly ADA was a private company.
Secondly, ADA was approved by the government to operate in Liberia.
ADA failed when Gadaffi died.
The documents are available at the legislature regarding how the project came to Liberia and approved by the Legislature.
Apparently nobody on the SPOON TALK Panel is interested in researching the issue, or you may know the truth, but trying to drag JNB in the mud in favor of Cummings who has lost political relevance in LIBERIA.
The second lie is about what you mentioned that JNB was fired, he was not fired he willingly left the job because of differences over policy issues.
Before Dr. Sawyer died he cleared the air that JNB was not fired,SpoonTalk perhaps you can check that out.
Dr. Sawyer was the PRESIDENT OF THE INTERIM GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL UNITY at the time.
It was very clear on the show of March 19,2022 night that Spoon Talk is losing relevance and doesn’t research issues before coming on the air.
Many stopped listening to your show because panelists are too uninformed about issues in Liberia.
